Based on our first impressions and reviews online, we were very excited to start our solar panel adventure with GoSunny. But unfortunately our experience left a lot to be desired, in fact we felt like we were being ripped off.
During our legal reflection period, we decided that we wanted to reduce the number of panels ordered or otherwise terminate the contract. This was something we had a right to as consumers. GoSunny refused this and claimed that it was custom work and that we HAD to purchase all the solar panels. They insisted and took advantage of our lack of knowledge to lie about the legal and technical situation.
After legal research and contact with the ACM, the Consumers' Association and our legal expenses insurance, one thing was clear: GoSunny had repeatedly lied to us and refused to comply with their legal obligations. After much back and forth and help from our lawyers, they withdrew. But it left a very bad taste in our mouths. If they had only followed the law or better, reduced the amount of solar panels, we would have had a win-win situation. But they got greedy and blatantly lied to us, their customers.
And this is what hurts us about this situation, the fact that they made us feel like they were completely unreliable. Fortunately, we had the resources to do all the necessary research, but it doesn't sit well with us that they can do this to others who are less informed and take advantage of their lack of knowledge. And that's a shame, because initially we were very happy that we had chosen GoSunny.
Unfortunately we can no longer recommend them to anyone. What a horror story they put us through just because we wanted to exercise our consumer rights and how easily they were able to lie to us and try to deprive us of our rights.
